At Commercial Diving & Maritime, we are committed to delivering high-quality, reliable, and safe solutions across all of our projects. These policies outline our approach to communication, payments, project delivery, and client relationships to ensure clarity and professionalism at every stage.
All invoices are due within 30 days of issue unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Work may be paused or withheld if payments are delayed beyond the agreed timeframe.
Any additional work or variations requested outside the original agreement will be agreed and billed separately.
All project timelines are agreed upon before work begins and depend on the timely receipt of required approvals, information, and site access.
Unexpected weather conditions, safety concerns, or access restrictions may impact delivery schedules.
Any changes to timelines will be communicated promptly to ensure transparency.
Any changes to agreed scopes, specifications, or schedules must be confirmed in writing.
Additional costs arising from revisions or variations will be communicated before work proceeds.
Should a project be cancelled after mobilisation or commencement, costs for work completed and any associated expenses will remain payable in full.
Refunds are not available for completed work or mobilisation fees once incurred.
All work is carried out in accordance with relevant Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations and industry standards.
Our teams operate under strict safety procedures and risk assessments to protect both personnel and the environment.
Clients are expected to provide safe access to work sites and disclose any known hazards in advance.

Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Enquiries received outside these hours will be addressed the next working day.
All client information, site details, and documentation are treated as strictly confidential and handled in accordance with UK GDPR guidelines. We do not share client information with third parties without explicit consent.
Overview & Introduction
Commercial Diving & Maritime Ltd (CDM) needs to collect and use certain information on individuals and clients. It can include businesses, employees, sub-contractors, contractors and suppliers.

Energy and Emissions Reduction

· Evaluate low-emission engines or alternative fuels for future boat upgrades.
· Encourage car-sharing, electric vehicle use, and journey planning for all staff commuting and site travel.
Waste Management and Recycling
· Implement a “reduce, reuse, recycle” hierarchy across our yard and office.
· Segregate waste streams (metal, plastics, paper, hazardous fluids) with clearly labelled bins.
· Partner with licensed waste carriers to ensure responsible disposal of oils, solvents, batteries, and electronic equipment.

Commercial Diving & Maritime Ltd are committed to protecting the health, safety, and welfare of every person who works with or under our operations. We believe that a proactive safety culture not only safeguards our team but also drives performance, quality, and customer confidence.
We will comply with all relevant legislation, industry standards, and client requirements, continually striving to exceed baseline obligations. We are equally committed to the safety of any other persons, such as visitors, contractors and clients whose health and safety may be affected by our actions.
Our commitment is rooted in the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and expanded by an array of additional regulations covering things such as dive safety, fire safety, PPE, manual handling, COSHH, working time regulations and display screen equipment. We strive not just for compliance but for a genuinely proactive safety culture in all our commercial diving activities.
The identification, assessment and control of health and safety and other risks, is a management responsibility and equal in importance to service and quality. Commercial Diving & Maritime Ltd believes that the involvement and co-operative effort of each individual within the organisation is essential to achieve continuous improvement of all aspects of Company performance.
The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 also places a legal requirement on every employee and sub-contractor to take reasonable care for the health and safety of him/herself and of others who may be affected by his/her conduct at work. Co-operation with the management in observing safety regulations and in the use of appropriate protective safety equipment is essential to ensure the successful implementation of this policy.

Risk Management
We will:
· Identify, assess, and control hazards through routine site inspections, risk assessments, and method statements.
· Implement a “stop-work authority” policy empowering anyone to halt operations if they believe an unsafe condition exists.
· Ensure all incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances are reported, investigated, and analysed to prevent recurrence.
Competency & Training
We recognise that trained; empowered people are our strongest defence against harm. To that end, we will:
· Provide comprehensive induction, specialised technical training, and refresher courses for all personnel.
· Verify qualifications, licenses, and medical fitness for roles that carry specific risks.

Most accidents and occupational ill health are preventable, and this is our goal in both the long and short term. The detailed objectives, organisation and controls for achieving this are set out in our Company Operations Health and Safety Manual and our Dive Operations Health & Safety Manual.

Who We Are
We are a specialist diving company, established in 2009. We are based in Cornwall, UK, operating from a dedicated yard and office facility that also serves our Plymouth operation. Our core services include shipping, dockyard support, underwater civil engineering, inspection, maintenance, Harbour moorings and construction support. We maintain a fleet of 6 vessels for equipment transport, stores runs, and dive operations, supported by a team of qualified divers, supervisors, and administrative staff.
Scope of Our Operations
Our Quality Management System covers all activities from project enquiry and planning through execution, equipment maintenance, vessel operations, and post-project review. It applies to onshore office processes, yard asset management, marine logistics, dive planning and execution, health and safety compliance, and continual improvement initiatives in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
In carrying out our activities we will comply with all legal requirements, codes of practice and all other requirements applicable to our activities.
Quality Objectives
In order to deliver our services to the highest possible standards, we will maintain an effective and efficient Quality Management System that meets the needs of the company in pursuit of its primary objectives, the purpose and context of the company, and is based upon the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. As such, the Directors of CDM are committed to the following:
Strive to satisfy the requirements of all of our customers, stakeholders and interested parties whenever possible, meeting and exceeding their expectations.
Acknowledge that the key to success in fulfilling this policy is a total commitment to continuous quality maintenance and improvement across the organisation. This commitment will be effected by working with clients to fulfil their needs and through implementing procedures and processes that are reliable, efficient and economical.
Comply with all legal requirements, codes of practice and all other requirements applicable to our activities.
